What you'll be doing 

At Chalhoub, there’s always a new adventure to discover. As Creative Director for Faces you will be responsible for setting the strategy, performance and delivery of all digital and physical content across the business. 

Working closely with our Creative function, you will act as the guardian of the Brand identity through managing the priorities & planning of the wider communication strategy and ensuring the growth of our client community both in terms of reach and engagement, meeting business KPIs within budget and at scale, and giving visibility to key stakeholders across the team. 

  • Manage and track Brand and content budget, ensuring funds are closely monitored, and spending is carefully planned
  • Manage a team of Graphic designers and content specialists
  • Remain at the forefront of trends both online and offline
  • Manage the overall concepts and creative execution for all 360 campaigns across all marketing touchpoint
  • Review and implement updates to brand book throughout the year to ensure it is always up to date and evolving
  • Responsible for all packaging/branding design touch points  
  • Define and implement a holistic strategy in line with our business objectives and Brand vision, as an omni-channel luxury retailer exploring the nexus of content, commerce, and culture
  • Feed the content team with performance insights, actively promoting a growth culture in which the team is regularly looking for opportunities to optimise ideation, distribution, scheduling, and amplification of content within a rigorous, agile test and learn environment
  • Hold ownership and accountability of the performance of our content platform to deliver on business KPIs
  • Manage the Brand and content department, ensuring the on-time delivery of work and overall quality of execution in line with brand standards
  • Collaborate with the Design and Product teams to build exceptional digital interfaces and content experiences that enhance the overall customer experience
  • Work closely with the Creative team to ensure brand image is protected and enhanced
  • Partner with the PR & Communications team to co-manage strategic partnerships, events & social media—ensuring the growth of our online community in terms of reach and engagement, through the development of both an original content series and a curated editorial programming schedule
  • Partner with the Retail Marketing team to support in-store programming, providing strategic alignment and advisory so the overall program is in line with the creative vision of our General Manager
  • Work regularly with the User Experience and Marketing team/s to proactively leverage content as a channel by which to promote and amplify our strategic interests in line with our editorial point of view and approach

What you'll need to succeed 

  • Previous experience in a similar role within beauty for 3+ years
  • Experienced in brand creation and development
  • Passion for content, a strong understanding of production, graphic design and animation
  • A creative thinker not afraid to think out of the box and push boundaries
  • Managerial experience – ability to lead, inspire and motivate a team of graphic designers and production 
  • Ability to lead content strategy for all channels, as well as creative direction in terms of managing production with agencies 
  • Strong understanding of social media and e-commerce and the different content needed per platform
  • Ability to story tell everyday and feed different social channels with engaging content 
  • Previous experience working in the beauty/cosmetics industry, specifically skin care is essential - Passion for beauty & wellness
  • Knowledge of the Middle East region preferred 
  • Arabic speaking is an advantage
