What you'll be doing
The Senior Retail Manager is responsible for managing and developing the retail network of Tanagra across the region in line with the brand’s vision and strategy. The role aims at ensuring exceptional customer experience, driving sales performance, and developing a high performing front line team. The Senior Retail Manager’s main priority is to upskill and elevate the team’s capabilities while instilling an omnichannel mindset. Your accountabilities will include:
- Set the sales targets, regularly monitor the progress and take the right measures to turn around performance.
- Identify the business focus areas, based on in depth data and reports (by store, country, brand, product, etc.), and implement action plans to address them.
- Constantly identify and track the customers’ evolving expectations and preferences and make sure the stores are delivering an exceptional omnichannel customer journey.
- Work closely with the back-office functions (buying, marketing, etc.) to drive sales growth through effective product assortment, visual merchandising, and customer / marketing initiatives.
- Monitor the profitability of the retail network and optimize store operations, through efficient budget and inventory management as well as the adherence to the operational procedures.
- Foster strong partnerships with brands, suppliers, and key stakeholders to drive business growth
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing retail team, passionate about the product and the customer. Empower them and provide them with regular guidance, feedback and coaching.
- Stay informed of the industry trends and market conditions, to identify opportunities and leverage them through a close collaboration with the team.
What you’ll need to succeed
- 8+ years of experience in luxury retail (preferably homeware or jewelry) in the GCC region with strong exposure to omnichannel.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze market trends and develop action plans.
- Excellent leadership skills, with a transformation mindset and the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage complexity.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Dynamic and results-driven professional with a passion for the luxury / homeware industry.
- Arabic speaker is preferred.
