What You'll Be Doing
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Director – HR Technology to lead the evolution of our HR technology landscape and drive digital transformation within the People & Culture function. This strategic role will act as a key partner to People & Culture Leadership and will focus on enhancing operational agility, fostering a data-driven environment, and ensuring that our technology investments deliver measurable business value. The role will also drive AI-driven solutions and automation to solve HR challenges, optimize talent management, and enhance employee experience.
As part of a broader digital strategy, you will be instrumental in supporting enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, including the HR SuccessFactors, rationalization of existing technologies and will be responsible for building a scalable, insight-driven support model for HR, ensuring that technology investments deliver measurable business value and financial transparency.
In this role will be accountable for maintaining stability and operational continuity within the existing environments ensuring tight SLAs, clear ownership, and minimal business disruption.

Strategic Leadership & Transformation
- Define and execute the HR technology strategy, centred around SAP SuccessFactors and aligned with broader enterprise digital goals.
- Act as the key interface between People & Culture and IT, ensuring technology initiatives reflect business priorities and workforce needs.
- Drive structured change management plans in collaboration with HR and Communication teams to ensure successful user adoption of new tools, systems, and ways of working.
- Lead large-scale transformation initiatives, including the rationalisation of HR systems and the integration of AI, automation, to ensure a ‘right-fit’ solution aligned with business and workforce requirements across the HR lifecycle
- Champion a design thinking approach to employee experience, ensuring HR technologies are user-centric, accessible, and personalized to the workforce.
SAP SuccessFactors, AI & Automation
- Oversee implementation, optimization, and continuous improvement of SAP SuccessFactors (including Core HR, Talent, Learning, Performance, and Compensation modules).
- Integrate AI and automation to streamline processes, personalize employee experience, and support HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, and internal mobility.
Governance & Service Management
- Rationalize and align legacy HR systems with security, architecture, and compliance standards.
- Ensure system stability, enforce SLAs, and embed agile delivery models (e.g., SAFe) for continuous value delivery.
Vendor, Compliance & Financial Management
- Manage vendor relationships, including SAP and other third-party providers, ensuring delivery excellence and alignment with long-term HR and IT strategy.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, UAE data regulations) and enforce governance standards across HR systems.
- Partner with HR and Finance to monitor tech ROI, drive cost optimization, and manage investment decisions effectively.
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for HR technology initiatives, including system adoption, ROI realization, process efficiency, and employee experience improvement.
People Leadership & Capability Building
- Build and lead a high-performing HR technology team with a blend of SAP, and AI capabilities
- Promote a culture of cross-functional collaboration, innovation, and continuous digital learning across HR and IT teams.
- Support HR in building digital fluency and closing capability gaps across the function.
- Lead the HRIS and HR Central PMO team, ensuring scalable support, system integrity, and continuous service improvement across core HR systems.
- Oversee team development, capability building, and succession planning within the HR tech function to maintain operational resilience.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Experience: 12+ years in HR technology and digital transformation, with at least 5 in senior leadership roles.
- Technical Expertise: Proven success in leading SAP SuccessFactors implementations and supporting HRIS transformations; experience with AI tools, automation platforms, and cloud-based HR solutions.
Success Measures
- Successfully transitioned HR Shadow IT team to Tech&Data Corporate IT Function
- Measurable improvement in HR technology adoption, engagement, and self-service usage.
- Timely and budget-conscious delivery of SuccessFactors enhancements and digital HR initiatives.
- Increase in automation-driven efficiency and reduction in manual HR processes.
- Reduction in operational disruptions and improved SLA compliance in HR systems.
