Supply & Logistics Coordinator - CHAUMET
Located in the heart of Place Vendome, the Maison Chaumet is a major actor in the luxury sector and represents the symbol of the Parisian jewellery excellence since its creation in 1780. Chaumet is looking for a Supply & Logistics Coordinator for its Middle East regional office. The candidate will be responsible for managing the efficient and cost-effective flow of goods throughout an organization's supply chain. He/ She will be responsible for optimizing logistics operations through data analysis, project implementation, and team leadership. This role combines analytical skills with project management expertise to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall supply chain performance.
What you'll be doing
- Supply Chain Management
- Supporting the process of receiving and sending out shipments.
- Tracking shipments, updating status in databases, and ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Troubleshooting and resolving supply chain issues such as shortages, delays, damaged boxes.
- Developing distribution plans and coordinating with all stakeholders for timely and cost-effective replenishment.
- Keeping supply chain records and spreadsheets up to date.
- Ensure stock movements are recorded correctly and inventory data is accurate
- Updating the system when there are stock issues like losses or damages, and making sure it follows company rules.
- Process Improvement:
- Assisting the supply and logistics teams in improving daily processes and workflows.
- Taking part in activities to help improve how things are done, save costs, and support better service
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collect, interpret, and analyse various types of logistics data, including product availability, transportation reliability and delivery performance.
- Use analytical methods and tools to understand, predict, and/or control logistics operations and processes.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate key findings and recommendations to management.
- Developing and maintaining dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery times and costs.
- Preparing basic reports on supply chain information like stock levels, order updates, and delivery tracking.
- Cost Optimization:
- Actively assist in identifying and implementing initiatives that help reduce costs within the supply chain.
- Help improve transportation routes and methods to lower shipping costs.
- Support the evaluation of supplier proposals to select the most cost-effective and appropriate options.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicate clearly with suppliers, vendors, carriers, and team members.
- Respond to inquiries promptly and courteously.
- Work together with other departments to keep operations running smoothly.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks within the supply chain transportation and last-mile delivery operations.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and maintaining accurate documentation for all logistics activities.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience (minimum 3-5 years) in logistics management, analysis, or a related role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful insights.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, including statistical analysis and data visualization.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team leadership skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access) and other relevant software applications.
- Knowledge of shipping and distribution channels, inventory management principles, and transportation regulations.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and other logistics software is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
