What you'll be doing
- Oversee AR and Intercompany Transactions: Ensure timely, accurate invoicing, processing of customer payments, and proper recording of intercompany transactions.
- Manage AR Aging Process: Optimize and manage the accounts receivable aging process and ensure prompt resolution of overdue accounts.
- Team Leadership and Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and supervise AR and intercompany teams, providing training, development, and performance evaluations.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze AR and intercompany reports, including aging reports and reconciliations.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve discrepancies in AR and intercompany accounts, collaborating with relevant teams.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with Sales, Customer Service, Legal, Finance, and Treasury to resolve disputes, improve processes, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Compliance and Audits: Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS, internal policies, and tax regulations; participate in internal and external audits.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and enhance AR and intercompany accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Intercompany Reconciliations: Oversee reconciliation of intercompany accounts across legal entities and ensure accurate elimination of intercompany balances.
- Prepare Monthly SLAs for AR and IC: Develop and monitor monthly Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for accounts receivable and intercompany processes to ensure performance targets are met and efficiencies are maintained.
- Leadership and Best Practices: Lead teams by promoting best practices, internal controls, and ensuring high standards of accuracy and efficiency in all processes.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years in an accounting role, including experience in preparing financial statements.
- Proficient in accounting software such as Oracle and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent analytical thinking with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
