What you'll be doing
The role involves preparing consolidated financial statements across multiple entities and subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with international accounting standards, and delivering accurate and timely reports for internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with regional finance teams.
Group Consolidation & Financial Reporting:
- Manage the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidation process for multiple subsidiaries and Joint ventures across different jurisdictions.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS (or local GAAP, as applicable).
- Ensure proper elimination of intercompany transactions, balances, and unrealized profits during consolidation with no major variances.
- Coordinate with subsidiary and Joint ventures finance/Accounting teams to ensure timely submission of financial data and compliance with reporting timelines.
- Keeping consolidation schedules up to date monthly
Audit & Compliance:
- Act as the main liaison with external auditors during the group audit process, ensuring all supporting documentation is accurate and readily available.
- Ensure timely completion of audit in line with deadline set by the Group.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial reporting regulations and internal control procedures.
- Support the preparation of board packs, investor reports, and regulatory filings as required.
Process Improvement & Systems:
- Lead initiatives to streamline and automate the consolidation process, including the implementation or enhancement of consolidation software/tools (e.g., SAP BPC).
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reporting consistency across group entities.
Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with senior finance leadership, subsidiary and Joint venture finance teams, and other key stakeholders to ensure transparency, accuracy, and consistency of financial data.
- Provide technical accounting guidance and support to regional finance teams on complex accounting issues, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and disposals.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA / CA / ACCA qualification is mandatory.
- 5-7 years in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a group consolidation or audit of large groups.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and experience with multinational or diversified group consolidations.
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills with a sharp attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
