What you'll be doing
The job holder of this position is responsible for leading the Finance function of a defined Business Unit, analyzing risks and guiding the business, to assist in measurement, planning and forecasting of activities and implications on income statement and balance sheet. The job holder of this position will also be responsible for developing, interpreting and implementing financial planning, budget and control for the business unit.
You will be expected to:
- Manage Month-End Close & Financial Reporting for all Joint Ventures
- Lead JV consolidation overview on a monthly basis, including Budget and Forecast processes
- Review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and variance analyses
- Close coordination with cross functional teams (such as Treasury, Accounting and Group Finance) to ensure accuracy of monthly trial balance
- Drive continuous processes improvements and automation to reduce timelines and improve efficiency
- Act as the primary point of contact for all financial reporting matters, external auditors, and internal stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with JV partners to ensure alignment, transparency, and mutual trust
- Assist in the annual audit process for all Joint Ventures, coordinating with internal teams, and JV partners
- Maintain compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity
- Manage and mentor the team supporting professional development while fostering the right team culture
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Commercial, etc.) to ensure end-to-end alignment in support of the JVs.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or any related field
- CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification would be a plus
- 7+ years of experience in accounting/financial reporting, ideally with exposure to Joint Ventures, Shared Services, or Group Finance functions with at least 3 years in a managerial role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Proven experience with month-end close and financial reporting for multiple entities
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
- Experience in managing external stakeholders, building relationships, and handling escalations with diplomacy and professionalism
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to operate in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
