What you'll be doing
This role entails to provide full Financial support to a designated Business Unit through risks analysis, planning and forecasting of business activities, and implications on income statement/balance sheet. You will also be responsible for the development, interpretation, and implementation of financial planning, budget, and control for the business unit.
You will be expected to:
- Drive financial management and processes for a dedicated Business Unit
- Lead the budget process in collaboration with functional leaders and CFO to develop strategies and provide business insights
- Monitor budget adherence, perform variance analysis, report monthly cost performance to CFO and implement cost effective strategies for resource optimization
- Drive alignment, target-setting, monthly tracking, and variance analysis of key operational and financial KPIs to present insights to the CFO and functional VPs
- Lead the annual cash flow forecasting for designated entities
- Conduct transactional analysis of accounting processes, assess cost-to-deliver metrics, and track performance against defined targets
- Assist in developing Financial Strategic Planning such as the 3-Y Plan
- Prepare variance analysis and recommendations on monthly financial figures from business units compared to budget and last year and issue reports as required by the management
- Prepare the Monthly Tableau de Bord (TDB)
- Revise the budgets and close follow up on collections, payables, stock, sales and net margin; challenge assumption and propose revisions
- Drive month end closing by analysing trial balances, researching general ledger activity and variances to budget and prior year
- Participate in relevant projects and community activities as and when needed
What you’ll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or any related field
- A finance certification would be a plus (CA, ACCA, CMA or MBA)
- At least 5 years of experience in finance or accounting
- Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Proficiency in financial tools and software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, Excel, Power BI)
- Strong knowledge of Accounting and Finance processes
