What you'll be doing  

This role supports the buying team in executing purchasing strategies to drive sales and profitability to enhance commercial outcomes.

• Provide key administrative and operational support to the Senior Buyer, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning of the buying team.
• Assist in preparing analysis and insights for monthly meetings, including presenting designated slides.
• Support with generating regular sales reports, analyze performance, and prepare end-of-season sales and performance reports.
• Responsible for buying a small category or a select group of brands, with guidance from the Buyer.
• Attend key buying appointments when travel is feasible.
• Drive re-orders for the department, proactively identifying missed opportunities.
• Represent the buying team at retail, eCommerce, and floor walk trade meetings in the absence of the Buyer.
• Collaborate with Retail and eCommerce teams to gather feedback on priorities, performance, and client insights.
• Support pricing strategy and analysis.
• Contribute to the Buying presentation, specifically for your department’s slides and top-level overviews.
• Actively participate in delivery meetings, including proposing order cancellations where necessary.
• Assist in quantifying product selections and buys during market visits.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, supporting negotiations for incentives, promotions, markdown contributions, and swaps.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Marketing, and VM teams to ensure timely stock replenishment, strategic product displays, and performance-driven marketing initiatives.
