What you'll be doing
Lead the strategy, roadmap, product lifecycle, and delivery execution for the Data & AI domain across two strategic pillars: enterprise data governance and data product management. Establish data as a governed corporate asset and deliver high-impact, AI-enabled data products that drive measurable business outcomes across Chalhoub's brands and joint ventures
Set the Group's AI strategy and drive innovation in AI-enabled data products, establishing responsible AI, model governance, and ethics standards for adopting AI/ML platforms (e.g. Vertex AI, Azure OpenAI) across the enterprise.
Lead Master Data Management, establishing single sources of truth and harmonizing master data entities (Product, SKU, Customer, Vendor, Inventory) across a decentralized ecosystem spanning SFCC, Infor WMS, and the ERP.
Establish Group-wide data governance policies, compliance standards, and data ownership and stewardship framework so data is treated as an essential corporate asset across business units and joint ventures.
Partner with Omnichannel Technology, Corporate Technology, and business stakeholders to translate data and AI priorities into governed products, shared reporting standards, and measurable business outcomes.
Define data quality rules, monitoring, and anomaly-detection protocols, and ensure data complies with regional data residency regulations (e.g. KSA data laws), global privacy acts (GDPR/PDPL), and internal security policies in partnership with Legal (DPO).
Define the multi-year strategy and roadmap for enterprise data products (analytics tools, Looker dashboards, predictive forecasting engines) with brand and corporate partners, and drive delivery of high-impact use cases with clear value tracking, change management, and high business adoption.
Own the accuracy, performance, and uptime of centralized analytical platforms (Google BigQuery, Looker) that drive daily sales reporting and merchant trading decisions, ensuring upstream changes in SAP/Oracle or SFCC do not degrade reporting accuracy.
Establish value-realization frameworks ensuring deployed data products have documented business-outcome tracking (inventory reduction, margin protection, conversion lift), and enforce least-privilege access controls across cloud data lakes to protect financial data and customer PII.
Structure the Data & AI CoE in CCH as a horizontal enabler, retaining requirement-shaping and building technical execution offshore (analytics engineering, dbt/Airflow pipelines, and data quality validation).
What you’ll need to succeed
15 or more years of experience directing enterprise data governance, MDM, and data product delivery within large-scale, multi-brand retail, e-commerce, or CPG environments.
Proven experience leading complex data migration and systems integration, extracting data from monolithic platforms (Salesforce B2C, Oracle, SAP EBS, legacy WMS) into modern cloud warehouses.
Deep technical ecosystem knowledge of Google BigQuery, Looker, Apache Airflow, dbt, and Airbyte, with familiarity across AI/ML platforms (Vertex AI, Azure OpenAI) and responsible AI practices.
Proven matrix leadership of distributed, multi-location teams (onshore business-facing analysts in Dubai and offshore data engineering squads in Bangalore), collaborating with and challenging senior business stakeholders, brand directors, and executive leadership.
Education in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or MIS; Master's or MBA in Business Analytics preferred), with certifications such as CDMP, TOGAF, PMP, or SAFe POPM.
