What you'll be doing

As a Makeup Artist Trainee at MAC Cosmetics, a globally recognized leader in professional makeup artistry and inclusivity, you will gain hands-on experience in professional makeup artistry, customer service, and beauty retail while delivering an exceptional and personalized client experience. You will work closely with the store team to represent MAC’s artistry, innovation, and commitment to self-expression. You will also be responsible for:

Assisting clients with product recommendations, demonstrations, and basic makeup applications based on their individual needs.
Support the team in achieving sales targets by delivering excellent customer service and creating engaging product experiences.
Build positive relationships with clients and contribute to a welcoming and personalized shopping experience.
Develop strong knowledge of MAC products, makeup techniques, beauty trends, and brand guidelines through hands-on experience and training.
Support daily store operations, including stock management, visual merchandising, product hygiene, and maintaining a clean and professional environment.
Assist in-store events, promotions, launches, and brand activations to support customer engagement and brand presence.
Work collaboratively with Makeup Artists, Store Management, and the wider team to ensure smooth daily operations.
Participate actively in training, coaching, and development sessions to continuously improve makeup artistry, product knowledge, and sales skills.
Adhere to company policies, security procedures, hygiene standards, and brand guidelines throughout the assignment.

What you'll need to succeed

Previous experience in beauty retail is required, with an understanding of customer service and sales environments.
Good makeup artistry skills, with a genuine interest in developing professional makeup application techniques.
Passion for makeup, beauty, cosmetics, and keeping up with beauty trends.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused and positive attitude.
Willingness to learn and develop product knowledge, makeup artistry, and selling skills through hands-on training.
Team-oriented, proactive, and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
Available to work on a 3-month contract, including retail hours, weekends, and different store locations as required.
Good English communication skills.
