What you'll be doing
The Digital/E-Commerce Manager on behalf of the OTB Group is responsible for leading the digital strategy and overseeing regional e-commerce operations. This role involves ensuring that the digital platform reflects OTB's brand identities, delivering a sophisticated online shopping experience. Working closely with HQ and local merchandising, marketing, and creative teams, as well as Chalhoub Information Service & Technology (IS&T) for website development, the manager ensures operational excellence, with a strong focus on e-merchandising and digital storytelling.
Key Responsibilities:
- E-Commerce Strategy:
- Develop and implement the regional e-commerce strategy, ensuring alignment with OTB's global vision.
- Build strategic partnership with all OTB brands and balance regional direction with local innovation
- Act as a key liaison with Chalhoub IS&T to oversee website development, ensuring optimal functionality and adherence to OTB's aesthetic standards with relevant localization for the Middle East market
- Drive online sales and engagement through a seamless luxury digital experience
- Develop recurring reporting to several management lines (local/HQ) on e-Commerce budget, revision, forecast, metrics, etc.
- E- Merchandising Excellence:
- Lead efforts to optimize product assortment, categorization, and presentation on the website, ensuring it reflects the Maison’s aesthetic and seasonal priorities.
- Work closely with the merchandising team to ensure inventory alignment and showcase key products.
- Collaborate with OTB HQ to implement e-merchandising guidelines and elevate the online shopping experience
- Website Management:
- Oversee day-to-day website operations, including updates, navigation, and technical functionality, in collaboration with Chalhoub IS&T.
- Monitor site performance, usability, and content accuracy to ensure optimal functionality and customer satisfaction.
- Digital Campaign Oversight:
- Provide strategic guidance for digital campaigns to ensure they align with product launches and the brand's identity.
- Collaborate with the Performance Marketing team to enhance campaign impact through integrated e-merchandising strategies.
- Collaborate with OTB HQ to implement Digital Media guidelines
- Tracking Experience with tools like Adobe Analytics, Tableau, or CRM systems (salesforce)
- Omnichannel Operations:
- Support the integration of online and offline efforts by promoting store services such as click-and-collect and highlighting boutique-exclusive offerings.
- Collaborate with store teams to ensure digital efforts complement in-store priorities.
- Liaise with Chalhoub Group internal teams to get the best support on multiple streams i.e. customer service, digital payment, last mile delivery etc.
- Team Leadership:
- Manage the digital team, including other streams and departments, fostering innovation and alignment with OTB's strategy
- Act as a bridge between OTB HQ, merchandising, marketing, and various Chalhoub Group internal teams (IS&T, Data, Digital Marketing, Logistic, Last Mile, Compliance, Customer Service, and Digital Payments) to ensure smooth communication, execution and alignment.
- At least 5+ years experience within Ecommerce/Online Merchandising Management.
- Experience in launching website
- Experience with Shopify (preferred)
- Proficiency with wider digital tools and and analytics systems.
- Familiarity with luxury fashion merchandising principles and customer expectations (mandatory)
- Proven leadership and project management skills.
- Proven strategic mindset with attention to detail in product presentation and client experience.
