What you'll be doing
Lead and optimize warehouse operations with a primary focus on AutoStore system management, IT-supported workflows, and team performance—ensuring efficient execution of outbound processes, adherence to safety and quality standards, and continuous improvement across daily activities.
- Lead the AutoStore outbound team, managing daily workflows across ports to ensure smooth, timely execution.
- Monitor AutoStore system dashboards, coordinate task queues, and escalate technical issues to IT or Maintenance teams.
- Ensure bin handling, picking, and packing processes comply with AutoStore capabilities and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Analyze system performance metrics and proactively optimize AutoStore throughput and productivity.
- Supervise port operations and provide real-time support to AutoStore operators during task execution.
- Train team members on AutoStore handling procedures and ensure adherence to bin-based workflows.
- Support the Outbound Lead in planning for peak periods, system downtime, and contingency measures.
- Demonstrate proficiency in warehouse systems and perform first-level troubleshooting when required.
- Provide system and process training to operators, promoting effective tool usage and adherence to standards.
- Effectively lead the team in day-to-day warehouse operations including goods receipt, storage, picking, packing, rework, and dispatch.
- Plan and allocate work efficiently to meet daily targets while maximizing productivity and resource utilization.
- Provide regular performance feedback, conduct team briefings, and coach staff to support continuous improvement.
- Identify training needs, recommend development plans, and ensure staff maintain proper uniform and grooming standards.
- Enforce strict adherence to standard operating procedures and promote compliance among all team members.
- Ensure a safe and secure work environment in line with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 standards, including timely incident and issue reporting.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and distribution processes. Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
