What you'll be doing
The Director Leasing will manage property acquisition, development, negotiation and commercial terms agreement activities, while ensuring that projects align with the Group’s strategic goals.
- The Director will lead a team, drive project execution, manage budgets, & ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Oversee property development projects from initial concept through completion. This includes sourcing new locations in line with the commercial team’s growth objectives as well as optimizing the group’s existing real estate portfolio.
- Coordinate closely with internal business teams, JV GM/Directors, architects, contractors, and various stakeholders on all aspects of real estate, from leasing all the way through opening.
- Lead the negotiation of lease terms with Mall developers, in line with Group Legal direction, prevailing business guidelines, budgets, and any other conditions required by the business.
- Coordinate feasibility studies and market research to inform project decisions.
- Ensure all projects comply with the business requirements and legal standards.
- Monitor project milestones and adapt strategies as necessary.
- Prepare and present update project reports to senior management.
- Maintain regular meetings with external partners and internal stakeholders to closely monitor the business.
- Work closely with the internal Legal team to adhere to real estate laws and regulations.
- Contribute to management of comprehensive legal documentation and records within the Retail Property Development platforms.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in retail property development and leasing, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Must have experience gained in the Middle East region.
- Stakeholder management skills and ability to build core industry networks ·
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple real estate projects simultaneously.
- Solid understanding of the commercial aspects within Real Estate leasing.
- Highly numerical and analytical.
