What you'll be doing
The Marketing Director will report directly into the Chief Executive Officer, both defining and driving the global marketing strategy across all channels ensuring seamless execution and a consistent customer experience across all touchpoints. The role will lead Marketing, CRM & Clienteling, Events, PR & Communications, Community Engagement and Customer Insights for the Level Shoes brand.
You will be responsible for driving brand growth, customer acquisition, retention and engagement across digital, physical and emerging channels on a global scale. The role will need to balance global brand consistency with local market execution, working closely with digital marketing, e-commerce and retail heads, brand partnerships teams as well as external agencies where required. The role will partner closely with both the Director of Digital Marketing and the Director of Brand & Creative on the 360-marketing calendar and brand positioning
Responsibilities
Global Strategy & Leadership
Define and execute a global omnichannel marketing strategy aligned with Level Shoes brand and business growth objectives
Own the strategic international 360 marketing and customer roadmap for Level Shoes, its partners and our Own Brands
Have the strategic planning and influencing ability to bridge all departments across one over-arching marketing vision
Thoughtfully select key partners, influencers, brand ambassadors and event locations that align with our brand ethos
Act as a key brand ambassador for Level Shoes and its partners
Omnichannel Execution
Ensure strong alignment between online and in-store campaigns to deliver a seamless customer journey.
Develop and oversee go-to-market strategies for new launches, seasonal campaigns, and brand activations.
Drive customer acquisition and retention through data-led omnichannel campaigns across retail, ecommerce, and digital platforms.
Partner with ecommerce growth team to optimize traffic, conversion, and repeat purchase through targeted campaigns.
Translate customer insights, data, and market trends into actionable marketing plans that drive top-line growth.
Think Global, Act Local
Ensure marketing roadmap has over-arching brand storytelling, with localized execution which is filtered down across all function
Partner closely with the Brand & Creative team to ensure campaigns and content are localized but aligned with overall tone of voice
Own the marketing for each of Level’s Own Brands to customize any marketing to align with each brands strategy
Commercial & Financial Alignment
Work closely with commercial, planning, and finance teams to align marketing investments with financial goals
Oversee and manage the annual marketing budget, ensuring optimal ROI and cost discipline.
Participate with senior stakeholder peers in strategic discussions with suppliers and brand principals, including negotiations on commercial conditions (animations, exclusivity, margin support).
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, develop, and inspire department heads and their teams, fostering collaboration, alignment, accountability, and high performance.
Set clear performance objectives, manage KPIs, and provide continuous coaching and feedback.
Promote a servant-leadership mindset, encouraging ownership, empowerment, and professional growth.
Insights, Reporting & Market Intelligence
Work closely with the digital marketing team to ensure one aligned vision on both a strategic and operational basis
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer behaviour, identifying opportunities and risks.
Analyze sales performance and marketing effectiveness, recommending corrective or growth actions when required.
Provide GMs and senior leadership with clear, data-driven qualitative and quantitative insights to support decision-making, budgeting, and forecasting.
What you’ll need to succeed
Proven experience in a senior marketing leadership role, ideally within luxury fashion, or luxury hospitality
Strong expertise in global luxury brand marketing with the ability to connect brand storytelling to commercial results
Proven track record of leading global marketing strategies across multiple regions
Ability to translate marketing strategies into clear, customer-centric KPIs aligned with sales and commercial objectives
Strong cross-functional leadership skills, with experience working closely with senior stakeholders while driving a diverse team
Creative and strategic thinker, comfortable managing complexity and ambiguity in a multi-brand, multi-market environment
Exceptional leadership, communication and influencing skills
Strong understanding of CRM, Digital and Performance marketing
Customer-first and data driven mindset, leveraging insights to drive business impact across the organization.
Outgoing personality with the ability to build long-lasting relationships; thriving under pressure and in high visibility events and moments
