What you'll be doing
As the Online Merchandiser, you will work to optimize the Tryano eCommerce customer journey through data-led and AI-powered onsite merchandising, ensuring strong product discoverability, intuitive navigation, and personalised experiences. The role is responsible for driving commercial performance by continuously improving onsite search, category structures, and product presentation, while leveraging insights, testing, and emerging technologies to ensure the right product is surfaced at the right time for the right customer.
Own and continuously optimise onsite search, navigation, category structures, and product listing pages to improve discoverability, customer journey, and conversion.
Leverage AI-powered merchandising and personalisation tools to enhance product recommendations, search relevance, and tailored customer experiences.
Ensure strong product discoverability and accurate product data across all categories, keeping commercial priorities front of mind.
Analyse onsite behaviour and ecommerce KPIs (conversion rate, click-through rate, bounce rate, customer pathing, product engagement) to identify opportunities and performance gaps.
Translate data and insights into clear actions that improve both customer experience and commercial performance.
Collaborate closely with UX, Product, Tech, Analytics, Buying, and Trading teams to test, prioritise, and implement onsite enhancements.
Support product launches, campaigns, and key trading moments through effective onsite execution and merchandising strategies.
Conduct regular competitor benchmarking and industry research to identify best practices, innovation opportunities, and emerging technologies.
Contribute to trading reports and performance dashboards with actionable insights and recommendations.
Support digital transformation and ecommerce roadmap initiatives, including AI and personalisation projects.
What you’ll need to succeed
3 – 5 years of experience in eCommerce, digital merchandising, or site operations, preferably in fashion or luxury retail.
Strong understanding of onsite search, product discovery, navigation, and category optimisation best practices.
Hands-on experience with AI-powered personalisation tools (e.g., Dynamic Yield, Salesforce, Bloomreach) or similar platforms.
Proficient in analytics and reporting tools (Google Analytics, eCommerce dashboards, Excel/Sheets).
Data-driven mindset with ability to analyse metrics, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.
Experience collaborating with UX, Product, Tech, Buying, and Trading teams to implement improvements.
Commercially astute with an understanding of trading priorities and customer behaviour.
Strong organisational, prioritisation, and project management skills.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
Passion for emerging technologies, AI, and innovative approaches to enhancing the digital customer experience.
