What you'll be doing  

We are looking for a skilled Front-End (React.js) Developer to join our e-commerce web team. You'll build and maintain the customer-facing storefront for a luxury retail platform serving multiple countries and languages across the GCC. Day-to-day, you'll develop user-interface components with React and Next.js, integrate them with our GraphQL commerce APIs, and profile and improve front-end performance.

To succeed in this role you should have strong JavaScript and React fundamentals, hands-onNext.js experience, and a solid grasp of building responsive, high-performance, accessible web applications. You should be equally comfortable with both Next.js routing architectures —the Pages Router and the App Router — as well as working against GraphQL APIs, building components within a design system, and writing tests. Ultimately, a top front-end developer here designs and builds polished, fast, internationalized UI that scales across regions and devices.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product, design, and back-end teams to turn requirements and UI designsinto working features.

• Review application requirements and interface designs, surfacing edge cases andaccessibility considerations early.

• Build highly responsive, reusable UI components with React and our Tailwind CSS designsystem.

• Integrate the UI with GraphQL APIs using Apollo Client against our headless commercebackend.

• Implement internationalized, RTL-ready interfaces (English/Arabic) across multiple countrystorefronts.

• Write application logic in JavaScript following React and Next.js patterns across both thePages Router (our current architecture — SSR/SSG/ISR via getServerSideProps / getStaticProps) and the App Router (React Server Components, nested layouts,server/client components).

• Contribute to our gradual migration toward the App Router, ensuring Pages Router and AppRouter code coexist cleanly throughout the transition.

• Troubleshoot and debug interface and application code across browsers and devices.

• Contribute to and extend the front-end architecture and shared component library,documented in Storybook.

• Monitor and improve front-end performance and Core Web Vitals.

• Write and maintain tests: unit/component tests with Jest + React Testing Library andE2E/regression tests with Cypress, and catch visual regressions with Storybook + Chromatic.

• Participate in code reviews and uphold code quality through ESLint/Prettier and CI checks.

What you’ll need to succeed  

• Proven experience working as a React.js / front-end developer.

• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML, CSS, and modern front-end tooling.

• Hands-on experience with the Next.js framework, comfortable working in both the PagesRouter and the App Router (a must) — including SSR, SSG, and ISR data fetching and ReactServer Components.

• Strong experience with Tailwind CSS (a must).

• Experience consuming GraphQL APIs, ideally with Apollo Client.

• Previous experience creating or maintaining a design system / shared component library.

• Experience with component-driven development and Storybook.

• Experience with automated testing — unit/component (Jest, React Testing Library) and E2E(Cypress).

• Familiarity with UI / visual regression testing practices.

• Experience with browser-based debugging and performance/profiling tools (e.g. ChromeDevTools, Lighthouse).

• Experience with CI/CD tools and Git-based workflows.

• Good understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and web accessibility(a11y).

• Excellent troubleshooting skills, plus good collaboration, communication, and time-management skills

Nice to have:

• Experience migrating a Next.js codebase from the Pages Router to the App Router.

• Experience with internationalization (i18n) and building RTL (Arabic) interfaces.

• Experience in e-commerce / headless commerce (e.g. Magento) and integrating paymentproviders (e.g. Adyen, Payment services to power your performance | Checkout.com ).

• Familiarity with feature flags / A-B testing tools (e.g. GrowthBook).

• Familiarity with TypeScript.

• Experience with Docker and containerized deployments (Bitbucket Pipelines or similar).

• Familiarity with React state/data patterns (Context API, Apollo cache) and form libraries(React Hook Form).
